Beskrivelse
YOKOMO – YZ-834B Dogfighter
This is a reproduction model of Yokomo’s first 4WD off-road car, the YZ-834B Dogfighter, which made a stunning debut by winning the first World Championship!
With a number of unique features, including front and rear monoshocks, chain and gear drive 4WD, front one-way, and trailing arms, this machine was full of originality and caught the attention of children at the time. In recent years, Yokomo has received many requests from customers to reprint it, and has been assessing the possibility of manufacturing it, but it has finally arrived.
Although the battery mounting method and drive system have been strengthened to suit recent circumstances, the YZ-834B has been redesigned to preserve the impression of the time as much as possible, and it will once again kick up the dirt road surface. It will be sold with a semi-finished chassis in the same package as when it was released in 1985. This is a product that you can look at and reminisce about the time, and enjoy driving it while listening to the sound of the chain drive.

This dogfighter has a classic style that looks great on dirt roads, but its low center of gravity chassis gives it amazing off-road capability. Enjoy the sound of the chain drive as it drives.
It will be sold in the same package design as the original, and will be semi-assembled just like the original. Enjoy the excitement of painting the body, attaching the tires, installing the mechanisms, and getting it to drive.
It has a classic style with a wide track and short wheelbase, but the design, which was conceived for going fast, is innovative, with aluminum shocks, a front one-way axle, and a rear differential.
The front mono shock reduces pitching while allowing for aggressive rolling.
A low profile tire with a low height using coarse block pins. It has less twisting and is designed to make the most of the acceleration of 4WD machines.
A one-way bearing is installed inside the front wheel hub, and the so-called front one-way structure means that when driving, the car is in 4WD mode, and when braking, only the rear brakes are applied. This increases turning power even with a small steering angle, and provides excellent stability during acceleration.
The car uses a double wishbone suspension, which has been a symbol of racing machines since the time of its launch. This stabilizes the alignment of the front tires, leading to better driving stability.
The chain drive, one of the Dogfighter’s major features, allows for surprisingly smooth acceleration.
If installing a standard battery, secure it with the included cable ties.
A one-touch battery holder is included so that the current short-sized Li-po can also be used.
The impressive aluminum roll bar is also perfectly reproduced.
The rear drive is a gear-down system, which gives a direct feeling of acceleration. At the time, it was equipped with a ball differential, but the reproduction version uses a gear differential to improve maintainability and durability.
This also features a unique trailing arm rear suspension.
Rear suspension controlled by an aluminum monoshock and stabilizer.
The rear suspension arms are connected with cable ties, just like back then, to prevent the dogbones from falling off.
Although the wing is fixed with wires, it is attached directly to the main chassis and is set up to maximize downforce.
